STOLEN GEAR It has come to our attention that due to recent theft from suppliers
in Auckland a large amount of stolen sound gear could now have found it's
way onto the market in NZ. We suggest that if you have purchased any sound
gear in the last year either privately, on Trademe or on any online store
that you check to see if it still has the serial number intact. The majority
of gear that is NZ new will have a serial number on the back so that the
manufacturers can trace the authenticity of it when carrying out warranty
repairs. If your item has the serial number missing or it has been tampered
with then it could be you have purchased stolen goods. It is well worth
checking this out because even if it is not stolen you will be unlikely
to obtain a genuine manufacturers warranty repair if the serial number
is missing. |
